Badminton Preperation

English Badminton Presentation – Preparation


Structure
National
These are serious national-level badminton players who have achieved a consistency in their game that allows them to do several different styles of play without losing matches, although they are still only masters of their own style.

Regional
They organis competitions for people in there are, so if people wanted to have a competition for badminton in bath they wont just do school and clubs in that area but the hole of banes bringing them to do the competition in one or more areas
Local
if schools in a certain area wanted to do a school competition then theyd contact the schools and build a  team up and going around to compete with them.








Functions

Understand the Whole Sport planning process
• Agree the Vision and Objectives of Badminton in England
• Consider Key Performance Indicators for measuring success
• An understanding of what is Corporate Governance
• Give clarity to the role and function of the Board
• Give clarity to the Management team delivery and involvement of the Badminton Community in decision making
The out come of the adult sporting plan.
• Participation - to increase regular adult and junior participation by an average of 2000 players per month between 2004 and 2009
• Pathway - to create a coherent pathway from recreational badminton through a structure that offers a range of playing, coaching and competitive opportunities for all abilities and aspirations.
• Performance - to achieve a minimum of 5 Gold, 5 Silver and 10 Bronze medal successes in the 7 key target events [Olympic Games, World Championships (x3), Commonwealth Games (x2), European Championships (x2)] that will take place between 2005 and 2009
• Profile - to improve the image and profile of badminton at national, regional and local levels.


Rule-making
Each game is played to 21 points, with players scoring a point whenever they win a rally regardless of whether they serve.
Each game was played to 15 points). A match is the best of three games.
If the players don’t come to the court within 5 min’s then they will be disqualified from the match. Between each set there will be a 90 seconds break.
When playing all the players must stay within the court and not move.

Merchandising
Competitions and tournaments
The competitions take place once every two years. More than 50 national teams compete in qualifying tournaments within continental confederations for a place in the finals. The final tournament involves 12 teams, following an increase from eight teams in 2004.


Training of officials
Have to start a level 1 course with the supervision on a level 3 coach and after the certificate. When doing the level 2 course this will mean that you can take a hole lesson with a assessed coach and after got the certificate and pass to level 3 you can take a badminton lesson on your own.
